The benefits of insulation lie within the r-values of our products. Depending on whether your door faces the morning or evening sun or whether your garage door is facing north or south, the r-values will change significantly.

R-values for our products range from;

• SL r-value 0.79 - 1.58
• Foilboard 10mm r-value 1.05 - 2.6
• Foilboard 15mm r-value 1.20 - 3.0

Our lightweight EPS foam and Foilboard insulation options are ideal for your garage door. 

• SL grade is 14kg/m2
• Foilboard is 13.5kg/m2

The average double garage insulation weighs in at; SL 4.5kg, M 5.5kg & FB 3-4kg

All our insulation products have soundproofing qualities to them. Because EPS has a closed cell structure, it offers only a limited absorption of airborne sound.

The thicker the EPS foam or Foilboard product used, the less sound will be transmitted though the panels. 

This is great when the application is for a man cave or workshop in your garage space! 

We also install Foilboard insulation panels for customers who are concerned about the weight aspect of insulation, and the negative aspect on the garage motors. 

The reflective insulation is a superior product from other types and is well regarded. 

The reflective qualities also brighten up low lighting areas.
